We're the only source you need to decide what to buy. We focus on helping you, the consumer, find the best product for your needs.
We buy our own products, test them, and then publish all the results so you can decide which one to buy. We put all the products we review under the same standardized methodology, allowing you to compare them side by side as if you owned all of them. We keep the products we review until they're discontinued so we can continually go back and compare them to ensure our reviews are still accurate. All our test methodology is also public on our website, so you can validate the results yourself and trust them.
We don't have ads on our website because we want to stay unbiased (for example, some other review websites have ads from brands they review). Instead, we only make money in two ways:
Unlike most websites, we don't get our review units directly from the manufacturers. Instead, we buy all of the review products ourselves. We buy them like you on Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, Walmart, and other retailers, mostly from the United States. We keep them until they're discontinued and then resell them used locally. This means the manufacturers don't handpick our units; they represent what you would buy yourself.
We keep products to retest with firmware changes or test bench updates. Once the product is no longer useful (e.g., discontinued or unpopular), we resell the review units locally in Montreal, Canada. If you're interested in the products we currently have for sale and are in the Montreal region, you can see them here.
We're growing and hiring in our lab in Montreal for various positions. If you're interested in helping people find the best products for their needs, check out our careers page.
We have a limited throughput, so we need to prioritize which model we test. We prioritize our reviews by:
