$3,299 S90D vs $2,499 S85D in 83 in which would be the better buy since they are both WOLED tvs. Or should I just get the 85 in QN90D $2,299 or 83 in LG B4 $2,499. I have the HW-Q990D soundbar with the 77 in S90D I just would like a bigger screen like 83 or 85 in. I am 11 feet from tv in light controlled living room. I will just watch movies, tv shows, news a little, and no gaming..I am still in the return window from best buy. I don’t know what to do. I have the 5 year Geek squad warranty on the S90D for burn in so not to worried about that. I just want a theater like experience in the living room.
need help should I get 77in S90D or 85in QN90D for Living room with light control. Movies, tv shows, little news, no gaming. Is the QN90D and QN85D black levels the same as the OLED S90D. Is the QN85D the same as the QN90D picture. How many years would the QN90D last compared to the S90D
The QN90D is better than the QN90A overall, but the two are pretty similar. The QN90D doesn’t get quite as bright with the 50% and 100% windows, but it’s almost 300 nits brighter in SDR with our real scene test, which is more indicative of real world brightness than test slides. In HDR, the QN90D is dimmer with those slides, but it’s brighter with the smaller slides and with one of our real scene tests. With HDR content, it’s incredibly rare for highlights to take up half or the entire screen, so I wouldn’t worry too much about it being dimmer with those test slides. Even then, the results are close enough that most people wouldn’t even notice a difference.
The QN90D has slightly worse build quality, but it’s still great overall. Unfortunately, the pre-calibration accuracy on our QN90D is a lot worse than our QN90A was, so you’ll likely have to get it calibrated if you care about accuracy. The QN90D has slightly worse blooming, but it has a much better overall local dimming feature. The QN90D has over twice as high of a contrast ratio as the QN90A with local dimming enabled, so it has much better black levels than the older model. You can see how the two TVs compare side-by-side here if you haven’t already. I hope that helps.

I need help to decide between the Samsung S90D 77in or the Samsung QN90D 85in. The living room is light controlled so lighting is not a problem. Is the QN90D black levels almost like the OLED S90D like 95%. Is the contrast higher on QN90D because it gets brighter or is S90D better.
why does qd-oled display look wavy on tv compared to WOLED tv display when the TV’s are off?
Also, I was needing some help with 77 inch Samsung S90D. Does s90d have colored fringes on top and bottom of screen. My believe it’s the way the pixels are naturally structured in a triangle Rather than in a straight line like WOLED. The green pixel is on the very top and looks like a small green line from left to right and same on bottom but it’s the red pixel. It’s not noticeable unless you go looking for it and pixel looking. I was just wondering if it’s normal or should I get replaced from best buy. It might be that I have never had a 77in and the pixels are more bigger so more noticeable? Thanks.
