I have this monitor and 2 issues that would be worth investigating in review:
Using certified DP2.1 cable and 5090, it keeps having a black screen when using native res, 165hz and HDR on.
Periodically works but then black screens when launching games. Only resolution to issue is switching input mode to 1.4 in monitor OSD.
When using windows HDR calibration tool, at times it shows 600 nit peak and other times can see a difference all the way up to 2000 nits.
For 2. I remember seeing some tips in AVS Forums that you should try enabling “Override to reference mode” in Nvidia Control Panels “Adjust desptop colour settings” and maybe disable color management profiles to ensure that there’s no color or brightness tampering that could alter what you see in the HDR calibration tools results. After that you can remove that setting. At least I got different results on my S90C this way so it actually clipped at the peak nits I was supposed to get and not at 2000
Just got this yesterday. The sound is great, but they seem to be made for smaller ears because even with large flaps they feel like they could drop if I wasn’t wearing a beanie. I also noticed that you can’t use the controls with gloves one, which was kind of mentioned in the review, and it is also quite difficult not to accidentally use the controls while adjusting them to your ears or when moving one of them to your pocket.
Edit: It was the first day using the earbuds and I dropped one of them from about 1m height. Now it has about 25% of the volume what it should have so they are not usable anymore. These broke way too easily because I drop my other earbuds all the time and they don’t break.
Edited 1 year ago: The earbuds broke on the first day of using them
At least the pictures from the HDR brightness tests looks the same as outside of game mode or close enough. Looks much better than in S95C which just pumps up the brightness and doesn’t follow the EOTF properly in game mode
My next upgrade could be the first time when I don’t get the latest C#. I had C7, C9 and now C1 but I’m a bit disappointed in how little difference there is between them and sometimes the new models are worse in some stuff. For example C9 seems to have better brightness than C1. I’m not expecting any noticeable upgrades for C3 compared to C1 or C2, so G3 would be the only option from LG. I just wish there were more OLED or QD-OLED options in 48" size.
That amount lag is very strange. The only other review I found was in Chinese and they didn’t even test the input lag with native resolution. They got 4ms in 1080p 120hz and game mode turned on

I hope the HDR brightness follows the EOTF curve in game mode
Nice. I will definitely look at your toaster reviews when buying a new one for my next apartment
