Thanks for following up with us! Originally, we actually ended up removing it from our list to update, which is why it hasn’t been done yet. Though we did say we’d update it, so I wanted to apologize for the delay and confusion. Sometime in the next few weeks we will make sure we update the review to the newest methodology as originally promised! Sorry for the confusion :)
Hello, are you still planning on updating the methodology + firmware for the M512E-K6? Just curious!

Hello, will the M512e-K6 review be updated to the newest methodology? There’s also a newer firmware available since the last update. I’d be curious to see if/ how that impacts performance.
Yes, we do plan to update it to our newest methodology, you can see the list here. We’ll update it to the newest FW when we update it as well!

The P Elevate soundbar is objectively a better sounding and quality soundbar than this. Your review system needs fixing if you’re rating the M Elevate higher than the P.
Hello! You’re right, we found that the Vizio Elevate (P Series) is a better bar than the Vizio M Series Elevate M512E-K6. You can see a side-by-side comparison of our results for the two soundbars here, which makes the same assertion. You might be surprised by how close the numerical ratings are for these two bars, but it’s important to keep in mind that the numbers don’t tell the whole story, especially when it comes to sound. We’re looking to better compensate for this and more in our upcoming test bench updates.

Is there anything REALLY different between the 5.2 and 5.4 models? I know you said the bass is SLIGHTLY less on 5.2. I probably wouldn’t notice a difference, but I do want good pounding bass for movies.
I can get open box 5.2 for $465 at Best buy, while they only sell a new 5.4 version for $700.
What would you do? I’m not totally discriminating, but I’ve listened to music and movies all my life that’s for sure. Loud and booming, that’s me lol.
