The best cancellation of the noise is undoubtedly that of the Bose headphones.
But what do I do with this cancellation, if the headphones cannot be listened to correctly on a bus where there are strong vibrations around of you?
In order, the second best cancellation is that of Sony.
As I said, Sony does not suffer from the same problem as Bose, however …… the audio quality (for me) is lower than Bose and much lower than PX8.
The cancellation of PX8 is not so horrendous, is simply good.
And above all, remember that you wear the headphones to listen to music, so once the song is playing in the PX8s, all the noises around you will disappear more than enough.
The difference in cancellation is quite evident only if you wear headphones without listening to music (what is the meaning of this?).
Only in that case you can realize that Bose and Sony suppress the noises more.
According to this website, in the best headphones for travel they put the Jabra elite 8 gen2, before even the Bose, I never had them but I have not heard anything bad about them.
By now I no longer remember if I also in this forum highlighted the very good audio quality (for me) of the Bose.
Definitely better than the Sony, if you want a comparison.
But the Sony when there are strong vibrations near to you, they do not have the problem of annoying noises in the ear pavilions that I described for the bose.
If you want my advice, the best headphones in this case are the Bowers & Wilkins PX8.
Definitely higher audio quality and at this moment you can also find them in a strong discount.
Of course I would like to know if you have any more apprehensions, I am looking for which of them all has better noise cancellation for travel especially that they do not have this annoying defect that is mentioned in the Bose
I don’t think it will ever be solved.
Unless Bose decides to make deactivable the ANC.
I repeat as I have already said previously, is the “super pushed” ANC of Bose that creates this problem.
I made the comparison with other headphones in the same conditions, and I noticed that the problem is inexistent or definitely less….however even if is present, it is mild, and it disappears completely by deactivating (where it is possible) the ANC.
On the Bose Quite Comfort Ultra is not possible to disable the ANC.
No wonder I see that several people are selling the bose especially this model, almost new, I was very tempted since they wanted to sell me new in sealed box at a super price, but well for a reason it will be, which do you think the bose and sony are better in this subject?
Hello, after reading the comments I am already in serious doubts about buying these headphones, where I live the roads are not in good condition and there are always potholes.
I would like to know if to date if this bose error has already been fixed with some firmware, or will it simply be forgotten?
Hello, I would like to have my experience with these headphones, I bought it in April of last year they were working very well, until in December the charging base stopped working, it did not charge or turn on wirelessly, or using a wall charger, simply dead.
I went to the Sony support service center, and I was recently surprised that the warranty of my headphones lasts only 6 months, when I understood that in other countries it is 1 year, no matter how much I complained they did not accept my complaint, talking to the technical service staff they tell me that when this happens, They cannot repair them and only apply a change of charging base without even wanting to check them, the cost of this base is half of what the product costs (more than 100 dollars).
I already thought the product was lost until today I decided to charge the charging base to see what happens, and out of nowhere they worked again.
I think that a section should be put on technical service, on products.
I don’t know what happened because it stopped working out of nowhere, I just used fast charging wall charger (but I don’t think it has anything to do with it) but even though I went to a couple of technical services they already gave up on the equipment for dead.
