@joro0414 - I hear you, but this TV really has great color representation and clarity of picture. It also handles motion really well. If your sole purpose is to watch movies in the dark, then yes, go with another technology for sure. I added some bias lights and it really improves my perception of the depth of the black on the TV. Don’t know if you have tried that with your LG, or even want to, but maybe that might help. Best of luck!
If you buy a bigger TV and sit the same distance away as you have been for the smaller TV, then you will notice more of the pictures flaws in older or upscaled content. The image is being stretched further than before. I find that older TV shows and some of the overly compressed Comcast signals look worse compared to my old 55". But this TV was worth the purchase. Great for all content except perhaps dark room movie watching. They are just now starting to discount them.
I purchased the p65, then returned it for the nu8000. The Vizio had really soft upscaling, so much so that both my wife and I agreed that it was much worse than our previous tv (JS8500). Blooming on the P65 was evident as well. It did have an excellent 4K and HDR/Dolby experience.
The NU8000 lacks the local dimming and Dolby Vision, but has a great picture, much better smart tv experience, and far superior upscaling of Cable TV. Costco gave me a free service plan for buying the Samung (but didn’t offer it on the Vizio…) These are my own opinions, and specific to my viewing needs, of course.
Yeah, I actually was interested in trying to read his comment, but I just couldn’t get through it without the punctuation.
I used W20 in game mode. Didn’t mess with the gamma.
