Update: Confirmed that 1440p works on this monitor with the PS5.
• Posted 18 hours ago Update: Added that the newer LG 32GR93U-B has much better Reflection Handling.
Some of us like worse reflection handling in the contrary to mustard over display like effect of the heavy anti glare coating…
Hi i just ordered this monitor as my existing one went down and this one was available for 730$ in Amazon. all I want to know is, as per this review article do I need to do a color calibration? if I just download the ICC profile will that be enough or do I need to do more? the purpose of this monitor is mainly for 4k gaming with HDR.
it is pretty much calibrated out of the box…

I wouldn’t suggest using our ICC Profile because it’s for our unit only, and each unit requires different calibration values. I would suggest playing around with the settings until you find something you like!

ok i found the answer. based on the below URL from LG,
this is supported only if i the connection is DP. what would i loose if i switch from HDMI 2.1 to DP 1.4?
Compare to oldest version talking about LG 27GP950 Which as better color overall best for PS5 single player im mostly traying to get close to that cinema type of monitor on budget which out those 2 is better ?

That’s interesting because we confirmed during testing that G-SYNC also works over HDMI. Regardless, you can actually get a higher refresh rate over DisplayPort, as it goes up to 160Hz compared to 144Hz over HDMI.

You can read the full comparison between the two monitors here, but the color accuracy and gamut between each is similar!

Hey! As you can see in our PS5 testing, it does support ALLM.

I do own this Monitor and I do have 4K 120 HZ and VRR enabled as well but unfortunately I can not enable ALLM on my PS5. That’s why I asked if this Monitor does support ALLM. It says for me it’s not supported.
Hi there. Does this monitor still flickers with some PS5 games? Apparently there was an update at some point. Regards

Hey! That flicker issue was more of an issue with certain games, and while we noticed it fixed with other monitors, we didn’t confirm with this monitor specifically if some of those games still flicker.
Why don’t I see burn in probability on this and other monitors. That’s one element to making a decision I find to be extremely helpful.
Could you measure the VRR flicker score for this monitor using 2.0 method? Thanks.

We definitely will, we just don’t know when yet. We have 64 more monitors we want to update to 2.0 methodology. You can see the list here if you’d like!

Is there any kind of update on this? Would really have liked to see it how it performs under the 2.0 guidelines. I think if y'all haven’t already, y'all definitely should consider it as it was the one of the best monitors in the market when it first came out and competed so well with Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 32’ and later with LG 32GR93U - it’s unique successor of sorts. I would think it is still one of the better IPS monitors out there that people still might consider buying(like me!).

Unfortunately, we had to reduce the number of monitors we updated to 2.0. This monitor along with some others most likely won’t be updated (or at least not at the moment). We plan to revisit this decision in september, but for now, it may not be updated. Sorry about that.
Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 2.0. This includes new tests for VRR Motion Performance, Refresh Rate Compliance, Cumulative Absolute Deviation (CAD), and VRR Flicker. You can read the full changelog here.
I was wondering if anyone who has/had this monitor can provide me the proper calibration settings for HDR on the PS5. No matter what values I adjust the HDR setup screens to on the PS5 the output is the same; dim and dark, EVERY time. I would appreciate any and all help that can be provided, thank you!
Update: Converted to Test Bench 2.0.1.
