The monitor was on the latest firmware (1016.1) when we updated it to the test bench update, so the response time and BFI results reflect that. We didn’t retest the input lag, but this is a common issue on Samsung monitors where you need to make sure the refresh rate of your source and the refresh rate of the OSD are set to the same thing, or you need to have VRR on. This means we don’t expect the firmware update to change that.
Hello. Does Local Dimming “Auto” setting work on your test unit with fw 1016.1? Mine is not working properly: auto is same as always on. It should switch local dimming on when HDR is detected and switch off with SDR, for eg. toggling Windows HDR on and off. I’ve been emailing with Samsung support for 1.5 years now. Few days ago they said that “GMAP FW release date: 16.04.2024 (dd.mm.year)” should fix everything, although I cannot find said firmware anywhere.
