I don’t know if this counts as an issue but the lamps on Resident Evil 8 are totally white even on SDR unless you display the QN90A hub.
I tweaked the contrast and various settings but it persist. At least on game mode.
I think the LD takes too long to adjust the brightness on certain scenes like subtitles on a dark scene or almost white colorss(like pale skin)
The 50 inch QN90A won’t have that filter. Smaller screen sizes always lack such a filter. Due to this you can expect a higher native contrast ratio and typical VA viewing angles. Peak brightness wil probably be in the ballpark of the QN85A as both are rated HDR1500. Nonetheless, it will be the best small size LCD others are by far less equipped.
Yeah I know! What I mean if that due to not having that filter, it should look sharper, or is more or less the same picture quality wise compared with the bigger models
That will likely have more of an impact if you use it as a monitor as it may cause text to look a bit blurry. It can be an issue with reflections though as the way that the light scatters across the screen and creates a rainbow effect can be distracting. Another thing worth mentioning is that it can come at the cost of a bit of contrast, though it still shouldn’t be that bad! :)
My biggest concern is losing clarity and sharpness when gaming(I really notice it) but if you say is the same with or without that technology, I shouldn’t wait for the 50QN90A to come out, right?
Hi there,
As far as we know, the ‘Ultra Viewing Angle’ technology shouldn’t make the picture inherently blurrier. However, if you happen to see or notice otherwise, feel free to let us know! :)
Really? I thought it was going to look blurrier since in the review you guys say the pixels are blurrier. Would it look sharper on a TV without Ultra Viewing Angel technology?
It is normal. It happens from time to time.
