I am waiting for reviews about the dual LED on the 43-inch Q60T. I may squeeze in a 48-49-inch slim bezel/bezeless TV instead of the 43-inch sets that I have researched. Samsung'sQ70R 49" is my radar for $734 renewed from Amazon, but the Q80T has a 49" 43.1" wide model with a central stand instead of the two legs that require a wide table. I would wait for a sale on the Q80T or LG 48" OLED. I didn’t know about the 43-inch OLED. Will check that one out too.
RTINGS’s review of the Q60t was just released. It’s bad news for people who were interested in this tv:
Are you sure it’s IPS and not just bad black uniformity light bleeds?
I also thought mine was IPS because didn’t seem as dark as my older Vizio 43" E but pretty easy way to tell is use a hardware calibrator. Don’t know if this is true in general but testing all my own displays I find that IPS panels have way better color accuracy by default. Had to tweak my non-IPS panels and TV’s quite a bit to get colors correct in comparison including the M437-G0.
The great side viewing angles make me suspect it’s an IPS.
I picked up the 43" version fairly recently, it indeed has a Film Mode in the settings. It can be a rarity to find a 43" TV that has the same motion settings that larger variants have, so it’s nice to see here.

Every VA panel I’ve seen has pretty bad viewing angles. I doubt Vizio puts any fancy tech in a lower-priced tv like the M7s.
I just checked Vizio’s website. It says they’ll be offering the M-series in sizes from 43" to 70" in 2020, so that’s one more 43" QLED.
Reports online are that only Samsung’s 8K tvs will have HDMI 2.1
The great side viewing angles make me suspect it’s an IPS.
Thanks!
