Hi, The calibration settings provided for Hisense U8K are for 65 inch VA panel, right. Are the valid for the 75 inch ADS pro panel? If not , can you share the calibration settings for the 75U88KM please.
Hi Rtings,
I’m reaching out to seek your expertise regarding a potential home entertainment upgrade I am considering. I currently own a TCL 65S535 television, which I purchased in 2021, and am contemplating enhancing my audio experience with the Samsung HW-990C 11.1.4 Dolby Atmos Soundbar.
My current setup includes a JBL 5.1 soundbar connected to my TV via HDMI ARC. According to your review and the product page for my TCL TV, it supports eARC, although it is labeled as ARC on HDMI port 4, and there’s no mention of Dolby Atmos support—only DTS HD and DTS 5.1 are listed.
Given these details, I am curious to know if I will be able to receive uncompressed Dolby Atmos audio from the TV’s built-in apps like Netflix and Disney Plus when connected to the Samsung 990C soundbar via the ARC port. Would this setup allow me to fully utilize the soundbar’s capabilities, or would I be better off connecting an external streaming device (such as an Apple TV, Chromecast TV, or Nvidia Shield TV) to the soundbar’s HDMI IN and passing the video through to the TV? Alternatively, should I consider purchasing a new TV with explicit Dolby Atmos support along with the Samsung 990C soundbar to ensure compatibility and achieve the best possible audio experience?
Your guidance on this matter would be immensely appreciated as I aim to make an informed decision that maximizes my home entertainment system’s potential.
Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.
