Ahh, that probably explains the difference then.

One more question though. Should the windows ClearType be ON or OFF alongwith BetterClearType ?

That is odd. Were you using the default scaling factor in Windows?

This ! No. I am at 125% scaling on Windows.

This did help me, but weirdly enough I had to set it to 1100 to get sharper, non fringing texts. Setting it from 1800 to 2200 made it worse for me. I am on the AW3423DW.
