Greetings!
I was fortunate enough to get this monitor pretty early on and while I got used to the text-clarity fairly fast, I found an online-recommendation to use the “Better ClearType Tuner”. This is a free tool (which does not even require installation) which let’s you tweak the Windows-ClearType-settings in a slightly more extended manner. Start the tool, set contrast to something close to the maximum (something around 1800 - 2200), leave “RGB” selected and then click “set”. You only need to do this ONCE. For me, after this simply, free setting, text clartiy (SUBJECTIVE text clarity, that is ;) ) was as perfect as I can wish for on a non-4K-monitor.
Of course I cannot ask RTINGS to run this as a quick test, too, but at least for the community-readers in here: IF you are slightly annoyed by the default text-clarity, try that tool, increase the ClearType’s contrast and see whether it is much better for you, too :)
I’m not trying to chill that tool (as it is free and NOT made by me), but it was an EXTREMELY low-hanging fruit and I wanted to spread the joy^^“
Cheers!
