Testing them, they remember the last ANC setting they were left on (when put into the case) and there’s no way to set a default. But it’s pretty easy to change the setting right after you put them on, because you can control the ANC via the stem which you’re already holding as you place them in your ear.

Thank you so much, this is very helpful! For a subset of folks like myself, ANC causes major dizziness and headaches in even small doses, so having headphone options out there that allow, via whatever setup, for ANC to be off when you take them out of the case is an essential feature. Thank you for confirming!

Does anyone know if ANC can be set to off by default with these headphones? i.e., whenever one takes them out of the case, ANC is already off, no need to mess with settings to turn it back off
