The Beautiful High Performance Blender with Touch-Activated Display is a budget-friendly, full-size unit from Drew Barrymore's kitchenware brand, Beautiful by Drew. It comes with a 52oz jar and a 2-part lid. It has limited speed settings, but its controls include four automatic blending programs like 'Ice Crush' and 'Smoothie.' Its components are all dishwasher-safe. Like other blenders from the brand, like the Beautiful Personal Blender, it comes in several colors. These products are mainly available at Walmart.
The Beautiful Blender is decent for multi-purpose use. It's well-built and versatile. It makes a smooth blend with fibrous ingredients like kale, spreadable nut butter, and snow-like crushed ice. However, it's not the fastest or easiest blender to use. You also can't use it for hot blending.
The Beautiful Blender is excellent for single-serve smoothies. It only comes with a 52oz jar, and blending smaller amounts of ingredients requires you to use a spatula to scrape the sides of the jar. However, in the end, it makes a very smooth blend with fibrous ingredients like kale and fruits. It has no problem crushing small batches of ice, either.
The Beautiful Blender is great for multiple servings of smoothies. Its 52oz jar can fit several servings in one batch, and although some blenders make smoothies faster, after a few minutes of blending, it makes a mostly smooth puree with fibrous ingredients like kale. It has no problem crushing ice cubes and is easy to clean by hand.
The Beautiful Blender is excellent for crushing ice. Its 'Ice Crush' mode makes it very easy and produces snow-like crushed ice. However, you're not supposed to add more than ten ice cubes at once, so it has a smaller capacity for ice than many full-size blenders.
The Beautiful Blender isn't good for soups. You can't use it to hot blend, so you have to let your cooked ingredients cool before blending. That said, it can make a mostly smooth blend with ingredients like leafy greens and broccoli, and its 52oz jar can fit a full recipe in one batch.
The Beautiful Blender is okay for professional use. It's sturdy and makes a smooth blend with fibrous ingredients for recipes like smoothies. It makes snow-like ice and smooth nut butter. However, it's not easy to use for thicker recipes and isn't the fastest blender. It's also not safe to use for hot blending.
We've added a note that Beautiful-brand products are only available at Walmart.
This blender comes in several colors: 'Black Sesame,' 'Oyster Grey,' 'Sage Green,' 'White Icing,' and 'Cornflower Blue.' We tested it in 'Cornflower Blue.' You can see the label for the unit we tested here.
If you encounter another variant, let us know in the comments, and we'll update our review.
The Beautiful Blender is a budget-friendly blender. It has a great build quality and works well for blending common smoothie ingredients like leafy greens and ice cubes, although it only comes with one 52oz jar. Similarly priced blenders like the Black+Decker Quiet Blender with Cyclone Glass Jar and Oster Master Series Blender with Texture Select Settings include personal jars for single-serve drinks.
However, you might like the look of Beautiful-brand products. The Beautiful Blender is available in a wider variety of colors than most blenders, especially at a lower price point. Brands like KitchenAid (KitchenAid K400) and Smeg (Smeg BLF01) also make blenders that come in many different colors; however, they're at a much higher price.

The Beautiful High Performance Blender with Touch-Activated Display is better than the Ninja Professional Plus Blender with Auto-iQ. It makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients, so it's better for recipes like smoothies. It's easier to clean by hand. However, the Ninja has a bigger jar. It's also quieter when it's running.
The Black+Decker Quiet Blender with Cyclone Glass Jar and the Beautiful High Performance Blender with Touch-Activated Display have different strengths. The Black+Decker has a personal jar for single-serve drinks and a 48oz main jar. It's also much quieter and easier to clean by hand. However, the Beautiful is much sturdier, makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients like kale, and is better for crushing ice.
The Beautiful High Performance Blender with Touch-Activated Display is better than the Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Multi-Function. It has a much better build quality, makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients, makes snow-like crushed ice, and does a better job with recipes like nut butter. That said, the Hamilton Beach is much quieter and has removable blades that make it easier to clean by hand.
The Oster Master Series Blender with Texture Select Settings and the Beautiful High Performance Blender with Touch-Activated Display have different strengths. The Beautiful makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients in its main jar and has a better build quality. It's better for crushing ice. However, the Oster has a personal jar for single-serve drinks like smoothies. It's much easier to use to process thick recipes like nut butter.
It's pretty small and light for a full-size blender. You can set the jar on the base with the handle in any direction, giving you more flexibility when finding a spot for it on your counter.
It has great build quality. The motor base is made of plastic and rubber, with rubber plastic feet underneath. The gears on the blades are made of metal. The gears on the motor base have metal teeth but are mostly made of plastic. The jars are made of Tritan plastic and feel sturdy. The motor base has touch-sensitive controls. The blender is easy to assemble and can sit on the motor base in any orientation. The jar lid can be a bit difficult to remove.
The main jar has a 52oz capacity.
The blade assembly includes two sharp blades and two serrated blades. It appears that you can twist the assembly off the jar, and the manual says to be careful it's properly attached before operating the blender. However, we weren't able to remove them.
It's fantastic for processing small batches of fibrous ingredients. For the best results, you have to run a couple of 'Smoothie' cycles, and you may have to scrape the jar with a spatula since small volumes of ingredients can splash up the sides of the jar. However, it's still a very easy process, and the result is a very smooth blend with just a few tiny bits of kale left over.
It's excellent for processing fibrous ingredients at full capacity. However, you need to run the 'Smoothie' program three times to get rid of all the remaining chunks of kale, so it's not the fastest blender. You don't have to scrape the sides of the jar. The final result is mostly smooth, with some small bits of kale left over.
It's fantastic for crushing ice. Its 'Ice Crush' program makes it very easy to use, and it makes snow-like crushed ice. However, the manual says to crush no more than ten ice cubes at once, so unlike other full-size blenders like the Ninja Professional 1000, you'll need two batches to crush 12 ice cubes.
It makes very smooth, spreadable nut butter, but it's not easy. The manual suggests using the 'Ice Crush' program for nut butter. The 'Ice Crush' program pulses the blender, which helps crush the ingredients initially, but after that, you have to use manual blending. It takes several minutes to get the best result since you have to scrape the sides of the jar often. You must also stop the blender to switch blending speeds, which is unusual and makes the process longer.
It's fairly loud. There are much quieter full-size blenders, like the Hamilton Beach Wave Crusher Multi-Function.
It has a pretty small range of speed settings, so you don't have many options for adjusting the speed or slowly ramping up to incorporate ingredients.
It has two manual speed settings, 'Low' and 'High,' and a dedicated 'Pulse' mode. There are also four blending programs:
The controls have a few quirks: you hear a loud beep every time you press a button. You also have to switch the blender off before changing the speed settings.
The 'Smoothie' program doubles as a self-clean program, which can help remove food from the jar. However, you can run any blender with soap and water in the jar for a similar effect, even if it doesn't have a self-clean program. If you're working with sticky ingredients, you must use a sponge or brush to clean the inside of the jar, blades, and lid. However, it's a pretty easy and quick process.
