The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion blender is a simple hand blender. It has a long detachable blending arm for processing ingredients directly in a pot or pan and comes with a whisk attachment for whipping cream or stirring salad dressing. While it doesn't come with a beaker or jar, you can buy accessories separately from Vitamix, including a jar and mini chopper for food processing.
The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion is decent for multi-purpose use. It's an immersion blender and won't work very well for recipes like nut butter or hummus. However, it makes a mostly smooth blend with fibrous ingredients, which is important for well-blended smoothies and soups. It's meant for hot blending directly in a pot or pan and includes a whisk attachment for mixing salad dressing or sauce.

The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion is decent for single-serve smoothies. It makes a mostly smooth blend with small batches of fibrous ingredients, so it can make well-blended smoothies with ingredients like fruit and kale. However, it struggles with ice crushing, so using it for a smoothie with a lot of ice or frozen fruit won't be easy. It doesn't come with a jar, so you'll need your own container for smoothie blending.

The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion is good for multiple servings of smoothies. It makes a mostly smooth blend with common smoothie ingredients like fruit and leafy greens. Since it's an immersion blender, you can blend in your own container, so you're not limited by its jar capacity. However, it's somewhat slow to blend bigger batches and struggles with hard ingredients like ice cubes and frozen fruits.

The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion is a passable ice crusher. It can make small batches of crushed ice, although it doesn't crush ice completely evenly, and it requires a lot of effort. It's suitable for crushing a bit of ice for cocktails but isn't really a suitable option if you need a lot of ice.

The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion is fantastic for soups. As an immersion blender, it's meant for blending hot ingredients directly in a pot or pan. It also makes a mostly smooth blend with fibrous vegetables like kale and broccoli, so it can make well-blended pureed soups and sauces. Its long blending arm is suitable for blending in deep pots. However, it's somewhat heavy and has a plasticky design.

The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion is alright for professional use. It's a suitable option for blending soups and sauces directly in a pot or pan since it makes a smooth blend with fibrous ingredients. Otherwise, like most immersion blenders, it's not very versatile. It's not extremely well-built, which is a downside if you need an immersion blender for everyday, heavy-duty use.

The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion blender is a simple hand blender that doesn't come with any accessories except a whisk. It performs well for soups since it makes a mostly smooth blend of fibrous ingredients like kale and broccoli, outperforming other hand blenders like the Ninja Foodi Power Mixer System and the Breville Control Grip. Like most immersion blenders, it's meant for hot blending in a pot or pan and isn't very versatile otherwise.

The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion Blender is better than the Vitamix Immersion Blender. The 2-Speed has fewer speed settings but makes a much smoother blend with fibrous ingredients. It's also quieter and comes with a whisk. The Immersion Blender has a more powerful motor and makes smoother nut butter, but neither model is ideal for that purpose.
The Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion Blender is better than the All-Clad KZ750DGT. It's better-built, quieter, and makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients in recipes like soups and sauces. It also comes with a whisk attachment.
The Breville Control Grip and the Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion have different strengths. The Breville comes with a beaker for blending and a food processor attachment for chopping and grating. The Vitamix only comes with a whisk, but it makes a much smoother blend with fibrous ingredients in recipes like smoothies and soups. It's also significantly quieter.
The Ninja Foodi Power Mixer System and the Vitamix 2-Speed Immersion have different strengths. The Ninja comes with more accessories, including a beaker. It can also convert into a hand mixer. The Vitamix makes a smoother blend with fibrous ingredients in recipes like soups and sauces. It's also quieter when it's running.
This immersion blender has a fairly long blending arm, so it's suitable for blending in deep pots. It's somewhat heavy, but it's considerably lighter than the original Vitamix Immersion Blender.
It doesn't share the same fantastic build quality you get with full-size Vitamix blenders, but it's reasonably well-built. Aside from the mechanism that connects the arm to the base and part of the arm itself, which are made of metal, it's mostly made of plastic, including the blade guard, motor base socket, the top of the blending arm, and the motor base itself. There's textured plastic on the motor base to help with your grip, which is comfortable for people with smaller hands but might feel cramped if you have bigger hands. The speed dial turns easily, and the power button has a satisfying click to it, but the machine feels heavy in your hand. You'll also need to use your other hand to change the speed setting while blending.
There's no beaker included, but you can buy a 32oz one from Vitamix separately.
It's great for processing small batches of fibrous ingredients; however, it's not the quickest or easiest process. It takes a little over two minutes of blending to get the best results, and you need to scrape the jar and blade guard partway through, which is a little awkward since you have to keep ahold of the blender in one hand. Still, it's not too bad for an immersion blender and makes a well-blended puree that's only slightly grainy.
It's good for processing fibrous ingredients at full capacity. It takes several minutes of blending, which can be uncomfortable since you have to hold onto the blender, but in the end, it makes a mostly smooth blend with ingredients like kale.
It can crush ice better than most immersion blenders, but it's not ideal for it. Crushing ice requires a lot of force and maneuvering with the blending arm, and ice gets stuck under the blades, so you'll have to rinse it with warm water to prevent jams. It doesn't crush ice very uniformly either, but it can work for small batches of crushed ice for cocktails.
It can make acceptable nut butter, but it's a long and difficult process. You'll have to blend for several minutes, stopping to scrape the blades or stir the recipe often. Since you have to hold onto the blender constantly, blending for minutes on end gets painful. Even after over 10 minutes of blending, the result is spreadable and partly smooth but has chunks of unprocessed nuts left over.
It's not very loud for a blender, and it's also notably quieter than the older model Vitamix Immersion Blender.
It has a couple of speed settings, low and high. Its maximum speed is quite fast for an immersion blender, but you don't have as many options for adjusting the speed as the original Vitamix Immersion Blender, which has five speeds.
There's a power button on the side of the motor base that you must hold down to blend. You can switch between the low and high speed settings with a dial on top of the motor body, which will probably require both hands.
