I recently purchased a 32 inch Samsung 4K QLED TV to use as a PC monitor (build date Feb 2022). From this review, I was a little concerned that the reported BGR pixel layout and VA panel type might not be ideal for a monitor, but I desired a 32 inch screen. Much to my delight, the text is sharp and TV has deep blacks and excellent contrast with wide viewing angle. I took some photos of the pixels and they are definitely in an RGB layout. However, the “tap” test seems to indicate this may be a VA panel since it has a localized screen flash after a little screen tap. I read that Samsung had used a few IPS panels in a few of its 2021 models. I seem to have the best of both worlds with this panel, sharp text and wide viewing angle of an IPS panel, and great contrast and brightness of a VA panel. I’m very pleased.
Update: Added mention of the Fujifilm X-H2S as an alternative to the OM SYSTEM OM-1.
