Is there a good reason to buy a new TV now for reasons other than 4k?

I have a Samsung 60 inch UN60F7100AF that is 5+ years old. It was a solid HD TV in its time, but I am starting to wonder if its time for a replacement.
Given that I sit about 8-10 feet from the tv and there is still not much 4K content out there, I don’t find 4k a compelling reason to buy a new TV. I mostly watch Netflix, HBO, Direct TV Now and Apple TV. However, the new features like deeper blacks, local dimming, and better color are interesting to me.
For normal HD streaming sources, will I see any significant better quality with a more modern, well-reviewed tv like Vizio M, Vizio P or the TCL 6?
