Hi team, I got this tv for a few years now and the TV are getting a horizontal lines on the lower part. It seams to change in colors based on what the screen are projecting. This is something that need can be fixed or needs to replace the unit.
Iโm not sure if I can help in how your testing procedures. But what I can say in regards to upscaling/processing is based on a 65qn90c and tcl 75q750 when watching dish network - 1080p/i, the QN90C looks really bad even if watching formula 1 or nfl games. It seems to me that no reviewer plays any โlive tvโ feeds to determine how a tv processes the feed. I typically watch streaming either direct through the Samsung native app or now thru Apple TV. Depending on the streaming app, the Apple TV does a better job, but for some apps like Max - non premium - looks and sounds better on the Samsung app. Also, personally I donโt feel watching YouTube videos to test processing is very accurate because YouTube videos have so many variables. Whereas dish network, directv, cable provider thatโs not in 4k is a better test for how a tv handles the processing/upscaling.
Side note, the tcl 75Q750 sometimes looks better on dish network than the 65qn90c. What bothers me the most is the artifacts in lower light scenes and there is this like fuzzy effect around objects when watching dish network regular feed. Thanks.
Mostly watch videos on tv and donโt care about overshoot, VRR, Input lag. What I care about is black/gray uniformity, contrast, blooming, color volume, color accuracy, panel type, flicker, warranty , price.
For processing in my tv their is none, but my nvidia gpu has RTX video enhancement which I have tried and have noticed some differences like artifacts that were not their and overall higher resolution frame, but have since turned it off as it uses more power and looks in my opinion worse because of the unwanted artifacts. Some artifacts cause the movie/tv show to make distractions in the video that can be annoying or obnoxious.
Remastered old video with ai models looks better than on the fly processing in my opinion. I think the ai processing needs more time for it to be bearable to watch.
