Compared To Other Keyboard Switches

Kailh Box White

Kailh Speed Bronze and Kailh Box White are clicky switches. Kailh Speed Bronze switches have a shorter pre-travel distance and somewhat better latency performance, making them better suited for fast-paced gaming. On the other hand, the Kailh switches are more stable-feeling due to their perimetered stem design. They also have a click bar design, which means they make a clicking noise on both the downstroke and upstroke.

One note for anyone looking into these switches, the actuation point is before the click. It can be very noticeable if you type very lightly, or rest your hands on the keys with some weight, since you can actually get input without the key giving physical or audio feedback. I use these switches for gaming and typing, and personally do not mind it for the affordability (an EVGA Z15 with these switches is only like $40-50USD), but for other people it can be a dealbreaker. The strongest negative was that I was coming from very heavy membrane switches, and initially struggled to type without misinputs, as I was used to being able to rest my fingers on the keycaps with some weight.
