Thanks for reaching out.
We don’t have any current plans to update our recommended settings, but I’ll pass this along to our display experts for future consideration. In the meantime, I think it’s worth mentioning that we actually recommend leaving HDR settings at their defaults (unless otherwise specified in the review), so either way, we probably won’t have a specific recommendation for the Tone Mapping in HDR. At the end of the day though, it all comes down to personal preference. Which means it’s probably best to try a few different settings and see what you prefer! :)

OK I have another Question. On the retest you guys mentioned that 4k@120hz works with vrr and GLL on does this apply for PS5 because I’ve been having issues running 120hz ??
I noticed you deleted your comment before I could reply, but there were the settings we used: Calibrated Dark (Uncalibrated)
Max Brightess (set by default)
Gamma 2.2
Warm Color Temp
Peak Luminance High
What sort of issues are you having with the PS5? On our end we didn’t have to do anything in particular. We simply connected this TV to the PS5 and launched COD Black Ops Coldwar on the PS5 and 4k/120 with HDR10 was supported and appeared in the {System Information} window on the TV!

I deleted my comment because I reset my picture settings for HDR calibrated dark and it default to 50 tone mapping and than I recalibrate hdr for my ps5 and was able to reach 650 nits. As for PS5 everything is connected properly and setup so I when I play 120hz when GLL is off the game looks so smooth and buttery but when I turn it on it doesn’t look as smooth Might be placebo but idk. I’ve tested game like COD MW destiny 2 Borderlands 3

No problem at all. I just wanted to make sure. I appreciate that additional information though. With that in mind, it could be at least partly related to prioritizing low latency at the cost of picture quality (which can happen) But honestly, it isn’t something that stood out to us during our testing. Sorry about that!

So do I have confirmation that if I set GLL on with a 120hz signal it works ? VRR ON or off on ps5 ??

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for following up. 4k/120hz works fine outside of game mode but with game mode on it skips frames. So, that would explain why you’re experience feels less smooth with GLL on. Sorry about that!

OK so VRR has no effect what’s so ever ON or Off correct??

The PS5 doesn’t support VRR, so yes, it has no effect!
OK thank you very much for your time and guidance. You have been very helpful
My pleasure, always happy to help whenever we can! :)
