Even if you have your internet hard wired and are getting the maximum quality possible, most streaming services are still pretty compressed and have low bitrates. Since you aren’t noticing this issue with higher quality sources, streaming is likely playing a role in this. However, I checked numerous different scenes in that episode of The Bear you brought up on AVS on my LG C1, and I don’t see anything like that at all, so your QN900D is definitely playing a part in this.
Since we don’t have this issue on our unit or any of the other Samsung 8k TVs we’ve tested in the past, and other owners don’t have this issue, this seems isolated to your specific unit. All I can really recommend at this point is to mess around with some of the settings to see if that helps. The first two things that come to mind are to make sure that your Color Space is set to Auto, and if you’re using any Picture Clarity settings, make sure that you’re not using them too aggressively or just turn them off altogether. If those things don’t help, I think your best bet is to reach out to Samsung again to see if they can help. Good luck!
Thank you for your thoughts Ben.
As a warning to anyone looking or thinking about buying this TV, Samsung has said there is nothing wrong with it and will not honor their warranty. They in fact have suggested that I pay for a professional calibration and that will fix all my issues. Imagine paying $8000+ on a TV and the manufacturer tells you to go and pay for a calibration for it to work properly! I work in a colour controlled environment everyday and calibrate my monitors quite regularly, and I know for a fact this will do nothing to fix my issues.
I took a look at the video you linked, and that definitely doesn’t look normal. You can’t upload photos directly here on the forums, but you can upload them elsewhere and link to them. Are you able to check content from any other sources like a bluray or a high-quality download? That would be useful so you can rule out the streaming services. Also, if you game on the TV, is it something you noticed at all during gaming?
I posted a bunch of different pics and tests I have done in that forum. I notice it the most on streaming content through the TVs own apps. TV is hard wired to the internet so the quality should be maxed out streaming wise. I do not seem to notice it using Plex or ps5 4k blurays. But I have the same issues using ps5 streaming apps. I only have gamed a few times and have not noticed it.
Hey there. We didn’t encounter any weird posterization issues when we tested the TV. How are you watching content? I ask because sometimes the source can be the cause of issues like the one you’re experiencing. Also, feel free to provide some images so we can get a better idea of what you’re seeing. Thanks!
I see it mostly on the TV apps (ie. Disney, Netflix, Prime). I am not sure how to share images on here, but I have a bunch.
I have weird posterization issues with my 75QN900D. I was wondering if you have seen any of that on your end? I could supply images to show you what I am talking about. Samsung says it is normal due to upscaling (although others with the same TV do not have the same issue) and I previously had 65Q900TS and never had these issues.
Thank you for your thoughts Ben.

Here is a video of what I see:

Watch the gun handle, it continuously is changing colour. The photos I have show what this looks like with skin tones and its terrible!
