Hello there! It seems like you’re interested in whether or not you should upmix content into 11.2.4 with this soundbar. At the end of the day, your subjective opinions can vary, so you may feel differently than us. However, most of us on the soundbar team feel that stereo audio sounds best when it’s played as a stereo file, and when 5.1 surround is played as 5.1 surround. Upmixing tends to add a “fake” or forced quality to the sound, which we find unpleasant. Again, you may feel otherwise, but that’s our personal take on the matter! If anything’s unclear, or if we aren’t on the same page, don’t hesitate to follow up, and we’ll do our best to answer!

I know this is old but q80t firmware is 2016.1 have you guy ever had the chance to retest it because we was waiting for it a long time we gladly appreciate if anything thank you

Hey can you guys retest game mode please there have been a new firmware for the q80t and I believe or could be wrong but that the local dimming on game mode had been changed like to see on your guys review like you did for the q90t and thanks for your guys hard work you are awesome keep it up

I test it and it really did improve local dimming on all pictures mode haven’t try intelligent to see any change on that but the earc still having problems with soundbar or av receiver doesn’t give 7.1 for PS5,PS4 and Switch so hopefully a update do happen for that

Firmware 2014.1 is for the usa owners, and yes it fixes local dimming 100% in game mode. 1462.1 is very old, you should upgrade to 2014.1 asap!! Your current firmware has broken game mode, 2014 fixes this issue finally.

Does hdr contrast also be at 45 was wondering?

Also Dolby digital on hdmi arc an for game console and just regular base is it the right sound quality for sound bar? I set it up on my tv I got the Samsung nu7100
