what is this TV supposed to be? it’s cheaper than the Q60D, but it’s a 7-series.
Isn’t this supposed to be the QN70F? Neo qled edge-lit supposedly mini led? 55”-85”. Thanks
this might be a replacement for the DU8000. they’re very similar in price and overall features. i infer that the QN70F is a sort of replacement to the Q70D/Q72D QLED.
Nope, they appear to be separate models. Not quite sure what Samsung is up to with their lineup this year.
Best Buy website just updated with new Samsung models. Looks like there is Q7F, Q80F, Q90F, etc.
They list the Q7F as a mini led tv but I’ve seen multiple references that the Q7F is an edge lit. How can it have mini leds AND FALD but also be edge lit?
i’m not even sure it has local dimming to begin with. my guess is that the Q7F replaces the DU8000 and the QN70F [the one with supposed miniLED that’s edge lit] is a Q70D replacement. also, the QN80F likely replaced either the Q80D or QN85D.
these are just guesses though.
I’ve seen this new TV at Costco and initially it doesn’t look good. Samsung seems to be phoning it in this year. It’s not very colorful OR bright. Picture fades more than 10° off center. Curious to see how bad it truly is because even the DU6900 from 2024 looks better than this thing.
I highly doubt it. The q70 want bad. This thing looks like garbage. They seem to be competing with hisense QD6 lineup and failing

this is as expensive as a Samsung DU8000 was when it first released last year. i wouldn’t be surprised if this TV performs very similarly.
