โToo brightโ isnโt a big deal, as you can always use additional software (I use CareYourEyes) to adjust brightness even more, in addition to the actual brightness setting of the monitor. This monitor looks interesting to me as they say itโs similiar to the AOC24G2, but with much better viewing angles. Too bad, this particular model in the test is not available anymore, and I have no idea how the other ACER Nitros do in tests. The AOC 24G2, by the way, has atrocious viewing angles.
You mention โits viewing angles are somewhat narrowโ.
To anyone who plans to get this monitor: The viewing angles are beyond terrible. Itโs so bad that the sides on the display are already visibly dimming in normal viewing position right in front of the screen. For me, an absolute no-go, and after a few hours testing I put the AOC back in its box, and again on my old VE248h with TN (!!) panel. The AOC 24G2 (I have the โoldโ version with the โgoodโ panel - this is the worst panel on a monitor I have ever seen). I am puzzled that in many reviews they focus on 144hz and other criteria, yet this monitor canโt even display a uniform image across a small 24" screen, and 144hz, Freesync and whatnot cannot make up for this. My ASUS VE248 from 2012 subjectively and objectively, to me, produces a MUCH better picture.
