A problem with colour banding in Game Mode...

I was hoping somebody could help me with this.

When using my PS4 Pro with this TV in Game Mode, I have colour banding evident, and it’s clear to see on the PS4 home screen where the background is quite a block colour.

Now here’s the strange part: I have my PS4’s RGB Range set to Auto, and the TV’s HDMI Video Range also set to Auto. If however I force the PS4 into Limited RGB Range, the banding goes away (and black levels are fine etc…). So it appears the TV’s auto setting has the TV in Limited. If however, I set the PS4 to Full RGB Range, and the TV also to Full, I get banding again. Does this TV not support Full RGB range? Also why when the PS4 and the TV are set to Auto, do they seem to have trouble syncing with the same range? I am happy to leave my PS4 set to Limited RGB range and the TV’s HDMI Video Range on Auto as this results in no banding, however will this affect HDR content in any way? I noticed that with this TV, when in HDR mode you can still switch the HDMI Video Range around which you can’t do on for example Samsung TVs (that option is greyed out).

I know this was a bit long winded but any response would be much appreciated. I just got this TV and am stressing out over this :/
