This definitely lines up with what I’ve noticed. I wonder why they didn’t make the EQ actually flat instead of this pretty u shaped sound signature Is it possible for you to determine a good eq setting for these headphones with the equipment?
Hello SCP-343,
Unfortunately, we can’t create custom EQ settings for each pair of headphones. However, I will forward your suggestion to our R&D team so that we can work on a solution for the future.
Don’t hesitate to contact us for any more suggestions you may have.
Hello SCP-343, Fortunately, we have the data you are looking for, which can be found here. As you can see, flat closely follows the Soundcore Signature EQ with minor reductions in the low mids and high bass, as well as treble.

Can we get a test of the headphones in the “flat” sound signature setting on the app? I want to see how accurate it is because it still seems quite a bit more bassy compared to my hd6xx than the graphs would imply

Hi, thanks for shooting us these questions. First, we’re super happy you found a preset that was perfect for you. To answer your question: while you’re right that there is a bump in bass of the FR with ANC off compared to ANC on, if the theory is that the ANC off measurements were taken with the BassUp active, we’d also expect the FR to scoop out the mids and elevate the treble to resemble BassUp (ANC on) in this comparison. As that doesn’t seem to be happening in the ANC on/off chart, it’s unlikely that ANC on/off comparison was done with the BassUp active. Hope that helps clarify things.
ok thanks for the response!
oh actually i just checked a 50hz test freq and its wayyy louder with anc on which contradicts the chart so i think someone running the tests accidentally double clicked the anc button witch switches the sound profile to the bass up mode but it would still be super helpful if you could confirm, thanks!

(firstly I’m referring to the anc off to anc on comparison raw freq response chart) hi, so I noticed that when I adjusted my eq to make it so that the sound profile of my q45s was a flat line it didn’t sound that great but then today I switched it to soundcore signature bass up and it sounded perfect. So is it possible the tests were done with the soundcore signature -bass up frequency response profile, or at least for the anc off test ( it would also explain the 5 db boost in the comparison chart )
