Our Verdict

Blendtec Classic 575

Vitamix 5200

The Vitamix 5200 is a better full-size blender for multi-purpose use than the Blendtec Classic 575. The Vitamix has a significantly better build quality and does a much better job processing ingredients like nuts. It can also produce a smoother blend with small batches of ingredients. It's quieter when it's running. On the other hand, the Blendtec has more extra features, like blending programs and a digital display. Its jar and lid are dishwasher-safe, and it's more suitable for crushing ice.
