Didn’t last 2 yrs

No idea what happened after I initiated the periodic update, I left for few days when I came back, TV just wouldn’t power up. Sony has the worst customer svc on the planet. They are only available on chat. This is one of the worlds largest electronics co and they don’t have a proper customer svc? I didn’t get the Best Buy protection but have the Best Buy geek squad tech support membership. They are another story. It took them almost a month to send some one to check it out, 1 st guy game within a week but he thought it was a computer repair appointment. Long story short, they ordered a new power board but the tv still wouldn’t power up. Their tech don’t even test the tv with a meter for power supply, they just rely on the new part. Heck, even I could just replace a board . You go on YouTube, every tech replacing power board test the board of its working properly but using tools to measure power supply but not the geek squad. They were prob just the installation folks. I am so annoyed! I can’t just throw this tv in 2 yrs. my Panasonic plasma is running beautifully since I bought it 8 yrs ago. I am Now waiting for new main board and power board. The way geek squad works, I am thinking it will take another 10 days. Horrible experience. Bought Sony all my life. Never again. Only 1 yr warranty on this tv. I spend $3500 in dec 2018. Sony didn’t even have a authorized service provider in Manhattan. How lame is that? Basically you are on your own after paying for it. Sony won’t give a shit! DONT BuY SONY!
