When will this product be tested, have I been waiting for more than 2 months?

At the moment, its still one position behind the current vote leader. So, it would need to surpass it for us to buy and test it for sure

But he has been leading in the highest positions for a long time, and he was leading as first for a month, and you did not test it, I am disappointed with your ranking of votes, it is unfair, also because I see that you have bought the Dell Alienware AW2524H monitor, the day March 21, but this model was not even in the top 10 positions of the vote list, and you still bought it. It is very unfair to make people wait like this and buy monitors like Dell Alienware AW2524H without being in the top 10 votes.

It’s possible that monitors may be leading for part of the month, but if they aren’t in the top position at the end of the vote period, then it doesn’t count as winning the vote. Also, the voting is only one of the ways we buy and test products, which is why we may buy and test products that aren’t at the top of the voting. All that being said, we’re considering new ways to determine which products we buy and test, so we’ll definitely keep this in mind!

I think the cycle needs to be much shorter to like 2 weeks to a month max and have a more transparency on what criteria a certain product being bought. Or maybe top 3 of each cycle should be bought instead of just the top one.

A lot of new products may be released in 2 to 3 months. Beside this monitor, the current leader, the 27M2V also lost the last cycle in the last day of the voting, I mentioned the detail in another forum post.

The lack of transparency on when and why some product jump the queue and some stuck in the voting stage for multiple cycles just waste/lock people’s vote on older products.

Good to see the 4chan/Reddit mentality can now ruin this site as well, I feel bad for the Rtings staff, I knew as soon as the new systems went in place, drama would stir up no matter what. But hey, let’s ask them to shorten buy periods, I’m sure the site has just millions to buy and purchase at a single whim! What a joke.

This is true, look at this Asus ROG Strix XG27UQR monitor has been in the highest ranks for about 5 months and on top of that they don’t choose it, telling me that it has to be first blah blah blah, it has always been in the top 3 for 5 months, and that, Because they don’t test it anymore, I personally am already disappointed with this Rtings page, not that the tests are bad, but how they treat their fans, like garbage. In addition to that, my vote expired and I had to vote for it again, this is unacceptable.

why the hell would you even vote for the XG27UQR anyway, it’s a basic edge lit IPS 144hz 4k display, we already have tones of good models reviewed and available, reviewing the Asus would unironically just be a waste of resources from the team’s part tbh. There are much more enticing models waiting to be reviewed such as the innocn, which actually present something interesting to the market and not just “hey guys we just released our 57th edge lit IPS display this year, it does exactly the same as 10 other models already available for a similar price, hope you like it” :|

I think that’s just old vote that has been here since this monitor launched. This is now the leader after losing so many rounds (2 months per round).

It is the best monitor to play, I love Asus and their 27 inch 4K monitors, I do NOT understand how people want 32 or 42 inch monitors, this is stupid, the best of the best is 27 inch 4k with its 163 ppi, This for gaming is impressive.

    • edge lit IPS with terrible qc (because all gaming monitors do)
    • literally the exact same experience you will get with like 7 other models already reviewed
    • doesn’t present anything new at all
    • we could’ve gotten a review for a decently cheap mini LED display with a 1600:1 contrast IPS cell and a monster backlight but instead we get the 89th edge lit IPS release of the year with the most average cell ever, way to go! You did a great job :D

even 4kd players wouldnt understand, so i dont blame you, but saying is stupid with your limited knowledge on why is better, and not knowing what preference means, is craaazy

The only thing worse than voting bots is real humans voting for this pathetic monitor. Y'all IQ as average as this monitor.

https://www.techtoyreviews.com/asus-rog-strix-xg27uqr-review/ there is already a review of this panel, which I didn’t know, and it only makes the situation look worse

The backlight type is exactly the same as any other KSF backlight display (so about the same color characteristics as the innolux 28inch panels), looking at the pixel structure, this is very likely the 27inch LGD panel found in the 27gn950 and 27gp950.

The response times are pretty standard, but it locks you to a stupid overdrive setting in ELMB making the setting basically useless.

Unfortunately this damned monitor uses the semi-glossy finish that comes with the LGD display, which basically takes the disadvantages of glossy and matte and sticks them into one, so you can expect reflection handling to be pretty horrific, however I will give you that it results in less grain than usual matte screens, which is pretty nice if you use your monitor in the dark, constantly.

Feature wise it doesn’t really present anything the others don’t have.

    Basically a 27gn950 in a different body.

Congrats on getting the 8th 27inch 4k IPS edge lit KSF backlight monitor reviewed guys, we were really needing it.

Now this monitor has dropped a bit in price, with the features it offers it is a gift from God, but if it were 8k it would be even better, let’s see when it comes out 27 inches with 8k resolutions, it will be incredible.

  23. We’ve purchased the product and are waiting for it to arrive in our lab.

I already suggested it, I talked to Dylan, to ask that now if they can do flicker tests on a monitor but with HDR activated, I have seen on YouTube how a Chinese did monitor tests and some with HDR activated began to use PWM Dimming, too I asked Dylan to test the level of blue light emitted by a screen, but Dylan tells me that they are not going to do this. I would like to at least see if this monitor and the following ones that you are going to test if they flicker when HDR is activated, that is all. Thank you and have a good day.

IT IS CLEAR that it is top of the range, although with a barely perceptible HDR, I wish it was DisplayHDR 1000

Is its panel very similar to the model that is no longer sold anywhere, the Asus ROG PG27UQ, this was very good with hdr 1000 and gsync ultimate, do you think that XG27UQR is a cut of the same panel, but worse and without HDR 1000?

Because we didn’t test the PG27UQ we can’t comment on any differences in performance between the monitors, but they do seem to be fairly different and even come from different lineups (ROG Strix and Swift), so the results for the XG27UQR aren’t valid for the PG27UQ.

  36. Update: Added that the ASUS ROG Swift PG27UQR is another option with HDMI 2.1 bandwidth.
