2016 BH - Dolby Atmos Support
Hey team - couldn’t find a related article on this, so forgive any repeat information if this has already been addressed.
Dolby Atmos - I’ve heard that the 2016 LG OLEDS do not support this. I’m considering getting a soundbar w/ atmos capabilities but want to know if it will not perform with this television. If it cannot (even with a firmware update), can you still get atmos directly from the source unit (blue ray, xbox) but just not through the television apps (netflix, etc)? Hoping for a little clarity so I don’t invest in the wrong unit.

At first I was sure that had to be a typo, as the LG G2 is the only other LG TV confirmed to have ATSC 3.0, but I did more digging and this definitely seems to be the case. Great catch, and thanks for letting us know! The review will be updated shortly, and we’ll also add a note to the QNED80, as the AQA variant of that TV also has ATSC 3.0.
