While running just the DirecTV satellite/cable tv feed, our 65U8H is measuring approx 104~108+ F all over its front panel surface, (measured with one of those hand-held pistol-grip digital thermometers). And 106~108 F across the rear/top vent (that runs the length of the rear of set). Haven’t taken measurements while streaming fr apps. Middle and lower areas of rear are measuring approx 96~99 F.

In comparison, our Sony’s measure temps of approx 99 degrees F, all over their panel front surfaces; with their panel rears feeling too cool to bother measuring.

Is this typical with Hisense? Reportedly, nothing cooks/kills electronics faster than high heat !:~\

And could the last update, that I’m aware of, from I think back around March 2023, have anything to do with how hot the U8H is running? On AVSforum, a fellow member mentioned that Hisense is having issues with their (older?) motherboards.
