Technically, you’ll be able to compare it to any product we’ve bought and tested using our comparison tool. But as for which comparisons we’ll draw in the review itself, that is TBD. We’ll consider some of the options you provided though!

I just hope the latency is at least below 15 ms. 20+ ms latency just sounds wayyyy too high for any sort of gamer.

I think most mechanical keyboards have latencies that are at least below 15 ms (which should suit any casual gamer and non latency schizos) but there are some exceptions (like all of the Redragon boards that rtings have reviewed) and I don’t want to buy a keyboard not reviewed by rtings and then find out it has some 25+ ms war crime of a latency.

Edit: Yay 7ms latency wired 13ms 2.4 ghz should be good enough for most people

About the latency: When compare to other products of similar latency, TH80 looks slower. Is the video shown there tested on wireless 2.4 mode? 7ms doesn’t look like that right?

Hi Thenatous, you are correct! The Latency Video shown here is of the expected connection which is wireless via 2.4GHz Receiver. In cases like this we assume a wireless keyboard is generally going to be used with the 2.4GHz receiver.

I usually use my keyboards wired anyways. Unlike my mouse, I’m not constantly moving it all over the place so the freedom of wireless here makes less of a positive difference here.

  11. Update: We’ve converted this review to Test Bench 1.2. This update introduces new Backlight Features and Backlight Clarity test boxes. We’ve also added a new Switches test box, added additional test comparisons to our Ergonomics test box, and made some minor adjustments to the scoring of our Hardware Customizability test box that we introduced with our last Test Bench. For an in-depth look at our changes, you can see our full changelog here..

The build quality is impressive, the keycaps are top-notch, and the switches are high-quality. The only notable drawback I encountered was a slight delay when connecting via 2.4 GHz mode. Aside from that, it’s an outstanding keyboard that I wholeheartedly recommend.
