What does this mean when you rtings guys mention that in the article? Why is it not recommended?

    You’re absolutely right, this is disappointing, and it’s not really acceptable. I wish I had better news for you, but nothing we did improved colors at all. It almost seems like a processing issue, the TV simply can’t handle colors well, so it’s possible that TCL could fix this in a firmware update.
