Not a good purchase...

After three years, owning this 82" TV is no longer a joy. An LED in the backlight has obviously failed, and there is a noticeable dim spot just left of center screen. And that’s not all. Several times now, I have turned the TV on and only got sound .. no picture what-so-ever. Turning the tv off and then on again 20-30 times can sometimes fix the issue, not always. I have to walk away in frustration and try again later.

I contacted Samsung to have the TV serviced, but the repair guy called me before getting to my house to warn me that SAMSUNG TVs cannot have their backlights serviced. I would likely need a full panel replacement, and that it would cost as much as a new TV. That is ridiculous for such a large and expensive product. SAMSUNG should be barred from selling TVs in the US!

So now I have to buy a new large format TV and SAMSUNG is not even worth considering. Steer clear from this manufacturer.. They are low quality, low reliability, and no serviceability.
