I have these, and I’ll vouch for them - they are basically indestructible regarding “normal” use. I’ve dropped them, I’ve dropped the case, I’ve fallen asleep and found myself laying on them, and they’re completely fine. My only gripe is that if you drop the case, they have a tendency to eject themselves really easily. But that’s not an intended use case, and I don’t expect them to really care about it.

Could you also test headphones/IEMs for volume control setting response?

This is a bit of an oddball question, I’m noticing that when the iPhone volume is all the way down, sometimes even “off”, they are still quite loud.

So maybe that’s an issue with JBL across the board, I don’t know. Maybe other headphones have this too. I’ve even heard someone else say that, about that particular one. So it’s not a defective device.
