I know Rtings is quite satisfied with the ad-lobbing GoogleTV interface, but many reviewers and consumers understandably prefer the RokuTV interface simplicity and especially the LiveTV pause/rewind feature. But I have noticed it is getting harder and harder to find new models being released with Roku built-in. I am starting to wonder if there is some type of buy-in scheme going on where Google is paying vendors more to include their OS than Roku can afford to pay. It would be nlce if we could just have a free market and let the consumer decide, but it seems every aspect of our lives is becoming manipulated by BigTech, whether we realize it not. I was a bit shocked a couple of years ago when I heard that Roku was planning to launch their own brand of TVs. Is that the cause or the result of this? Is it another instance of market manipulation? ie. MS Windows What are your thoughts??
