I ordered a Carepod one and installed it in our main room about 500sq ft. The unit is beautiful and would fit perfectly in any type of decor. We live in a condo in Montreal Canada that is heated only with baseboards. The air gets very dry approaching 10% humidity. I have been using a combination hot-cold humidifier that depending on the weather outside would give us 30 to 40% humidity. On the other hand the Carepod is very easy to clean. The real problem is that it doesn’t humidify powerfully enough. After running it for a few hours in our main room, the humidity did not go up by one percent. I reinstalled my old one and 30 minutes later humidity zoom to 30%. The Carepod looks great, cleans easily, but at $400. Canadian including tax. It’s water vapour is far from sufficient to justify the cost.
