LED backlight grid

I bought the QN800B (which is similar to the QN900B I guess) and I couldn’t see any backlight grid. I had other problems with the TV though so I had to replace it. The replacement does have the backlight LED grid exactly like this gray uniformity test from this review.

I mean, how often does this happens? Because this really seems to be common. Is it mainly a problem with Samsung TVs? Is there a way to mitigate this issue?

I’m baffled. How can two panels of the same model, bought in the same store and probably from the same batch be so different from one another?
