I have found that the TV looks best on 1080i (Cable TV) content with the following differences from the settings in the article:
Backlight: 19 Auto Motion: Off (not custom/0s - it still does some motion processing with that setting, particularly noticeable when watching baseball) HDR+: On - I know this adds processing, but it really makes cable tv crap look better. Contrast Enhancer: Low (brings out the blacks without adding too much crap)
Another thing I noticed - change the picture size or zoom from auto/standard to custom. For some reason, the standard 16:9 setting is slightly zoomed in, which makes the picture look worse.
