(trying to convince voters) new monitor, appeared in LG´s site today 25th of march, already has 12 votes, all you need to know really, a lot of hype just in a few hours, is gonna get the #1 spot in a few days/weeks im sure, is the first LG monitor announced after the OLED duo that got so many ppl excited, is not OLED tho, but still $1.300.. so idk

    • VA panel
    • 240hz
    • 5120 x 1440
    • curved
    • 32:9
    • VESA DisplayHDR™ 1000
    • Anti-Glare

(why i want it reviewed) cuz IF its in the top 3-5 best LCDs in response time, and the price goes down QUITE a bit, it could be a good choice for gamers like me, wanting to go all out in speed, but afraid of OLED burn-in, with the nice addition of 32:9

Mainly looking for decent calibration settings without the need of an actual monitor calibrator. And of course, overall ratings on the monitor itself. Thanks for your hard work!

I had and returned 3 instances of this monitor. They all displayed very noticeable interlacing patterns on some colors, even causing sharp edges on what should have been smooth gradients between different colors. Surprised that there is no mention of this in the review. Would not recommend.

  8. Update: Clarified that the newer Samsung Odyssey Neo G9/G95NC S57CG95 has a better Local Dimming feature.

    Hi,

I bought this monitor for work (I am not a gamer). I use this to open different programmes to multitask during busy times. But for security, I wanted to know if it could be locked with Kensington Lock ?

    Yes it can!

I brought this monitor, and it has these faint vertical lines throughout the display. What I found out is that they are columns, the lines are the edges of the column. When gaming the columns display slightly different colors and do not blend in most of the time. When they do, the columns disappear. I was able to make them more visible by running the pixel walk test# 3 and scroll the page up and down. Then you can completely see each column. No idea what causes the issue, but its also present in the bios. So that rules something windows related out.

  13. Update: Clarified that the LG comes with DTS Headphone:X.
