I had the same thoughts about this unit, but it’s seems to have better room correction and my rear speakers never seemed to work.

Mine are maxed out and do a perfect job. Did you do rear levels at max ?

My rear speakers keep cutting out and have a hissing static sound, probably due to router in same room.

Rumors are that the wireless chip used in Q990B might be faulty and lead to rear speakers losing connection. Maybe Samsung will correct this issue later.

That’s probably the answer to your problem, and maybe the beginning of a solution.

I’ve had the bar for about a week now with 0 issues. I know in the past, the rears from my older Q90R, same bar OP has, used to cut out a bit, but so far 0 issues with this one, and it definitely sounds cleaner. It’s not a huge upgrade, but I can hear the difference, and I’m not a big audiophile or anything

Somehow the HW-Q950A still outranks this in most categories. Seems hard to justify the higher price for not much more value or performance aside from better low/low-mid performance…

They’ve just copied and pasted a load of stuff from the Q950A. Basically been lazy. Probably didn’t even review it as it deffo is a step up.
