When configuring the peak brightness on game consoles or games, the peak brightness starts clipping at around 800 nits when using HGiG as the tone mapper setting. However, the test pattern at that point is still slightly visible, only completely disappearing around 850-900 nits.

Would it be better to go slightly higher with the peak brightness to 850-900 nits or should I go for the point where the pattern starts to become more difficult to see at around 800 nits?

EDIT: Is it possible you could measure it like you have done in the past with the C2? I recall the maxTML was 809 nits on that panel, it is possible it could have changed.
