BFI input lag would be great, thank you!
So BFI enabled at 60hz still gives you a 9ms input lag? On the G1 and G2 Oled tvs, BFI raises input lag to 30ms. Just wondering if the s95c gives a lower input lag with BFI enabled.
Thanks! Did you check bfi game mode? I am getting 29ms but for whatever reason it feels significantly more responsive then any other game mode! Is that because the clarity is so much better than without bfi? I also have a G1 and even though my 4k Leo Bodnar shows the same 29ms lag, the G2 just feels way more responsive with bfi! It is very bizarre in a good way :)
PSA Newest firmware has now fixed this issue, it only took a year but better late then never :)
Hey there! Thanks for reaching out! By default, the 120hz during game mode does cause duplication with 60hz content, so we do expect the QN85a to have this same problem if that’s all you do. (We can’t say for sure though as we haven’t tested for this) That said, if you don’t mind adding extra flicker though (for a clear image but no duplication), you can enable ‘LED CLear Motion’. Hope this helps! :)
Does LED Clear Motion add any input lag?
Could you post a photo? Is it more like the QN85A reflection?
Hi there, Thanks for the detailed message, we really appreciate! As for your suggestion, I think that’s a very good point. I also shared it with our team and they agreed. We’re going to add it to our test bench suggestions so we’ll consider adding it in a future update! As for HDMI VRR Forum, the Xbox supports Freesync and HDMI VRR. On the LG, you can disable the freesync specifically and the xbox vrr still works, meaning we can confirm HDMI VRR. On the other hand, there’s no way to eliminate all other variables and just check for HDMI VRR on the Samsung. That said, HDMI VRR is probably supported on the Samsung, but there is no way for us to be 100% certain. Hope that helps! :)
Hi Dylan! Can you confirm the qn90a and qn85a running at 960hz pwm with VRR enabled in game mode like the q90t you confirmed? This is all I need in order to purchase as my eyes cannot handle 120hz pwm. Thank you in advance!
Thanks! I disabled dimming via the Service panel mode for PC which helped a lot, since I’m in game mode on PC and colors/contrast is pretty insane ( till I look at an insanely high contrast monitor ) so hoping to see somewhat of an improvement on the Q90A given that it can get deeper darks, should make brighter colors pop even more, hopefully the gamut hasn’t dropped from that of the 90T, I do miss the 70 series but after last years debacle sticking w/ the 90’s from now on.
What do you mean by disabled dimming in the service menu?
Been waiting for a 50" that have everything I was looking for. Full glass glossy panel, 4k 120hz, VRR, Hdmi 2.1, good viewing angle. I bought this purely as a computer monitor since all the monitor have dull and ugly matted coating that I can’t stand. I rather see my reflection then grainy coating all over the screen. The main thing I was concern with is the blooming. I had bought and return a 55" q90t, Hisense 55" H9G, and 49" x950h which all have awful blooming and shitty semi glossy screen except the q90t. Qn90a barely have any blooming from my short test. Didn’t get the 55 q80t because that screen have gamma shift and cause rainbow effect on the screen just slightly shifting my head when I was looking at it in store. Bought this on a monday online at bestbuy and was delivery friday. Picture looks perfectly good too. I have a 77" oled and the oled looks dim in comparison now.
How is the reflecrion handling on the 50 inch? Does it look like it has the rainbow effect from the ultra wide viewing coating?
Are you able to test any of the Sony tvs like the 900f with Oreo? I would assume all x1 extreme sets would have similar numbers.
