I almost pinned on TCL 65R61X for black friday. Waited enough for 65R613 at Costco, but still no Show for it. There is always advantage of buying from Costco for the extra warranty. So started looking at alternate and came across
-item 1 Vizio E65-F at $700 -item 2 ** Vizio M65-F at $770** -item 3 TCL 65S513 at $700.
I am very much attracted to M65-F . Is it worth to get M65-F at $770?
Also at Fry’s, they are offering Samsung NU8000 at $1000.
What do you suggest from above TVs w.r.t price points. What is the best value ? I am ok to slightly compromise to save me from panel lottery and save some money (if I wouldn’t have seen the alternates, i would have gone with TCL R617, probably at 900$ on BF). Things, I might miss with m-65 is RokuOS, and excellent hdr brightness on 6 series. If it was there in Costco, it would be no brainier.
It would be interesting to check if you adjust the treble on the built-in EQ. Would it correct the dip and measure as a better earphone?
I don’t think their measurements are correct; there’s too much canceling in their measurements. The best of the Sony and Bose NC is on that level. I just checked their review about the Buds2 Pro, and they claim a 50dB cancellation at around 60 Hz, whereas the Rtings review is 35 dB. Cirnacle has some videos about this explaining why many reviews can’t be trusted. Also, measuring is very hard, so there are not even intentionally different results in many cases.
Also, we can still hope for a firmware update. I could imagine that the poorly polished software causes this weak cancellation.
Their measurements and opinion about ANC is quite different, see here https://www.soundguys.com/jabra-elite-8-active-review-101055/

Many reviewers praised the noise isolation that is on par with the latest Sony XD. That’s why I don’t trust reviewers and influencers, only scientific measurements like we see here. I’m very disappointed in these results from Jabra. A cheap Soundcore earbud has a lot better noise canceling. In the left driver, a 20dB lift at the mid-trebble is unbelievable.
Wow…..just looking at the numbers while comparing the 7 Active to the 8 active, Jabra’s literally ONLY improvement is “our earbuds are tougher”. In fact, overall the numbers show the 8’s as being not improved at all.
I have bought an Early Access to see this review because I have seen some not-too-reliable measurements on other sites. Rtings review is great as usual. Jabra is a disappointment in many aspects.
Just created this account to upvote you, my 7 pro pair got damaged, and waiting for this review to buy them or buy the 7 pro again
By measurement, the 7 Pro is one of the best-sounding earbuds with the most comfortable fit. @RTINGS please include a comparison to this model. The Elite 8 looks more similar to it, but the driver should be better in the Elite 10, also full Dolby spacial audio sounds very promising. If you could describe in detail what to expect would be great.
Hey mattfysh, As in stands, we have a few other products in our testing queue, so we won’t be able to start testing until the week of the 16th. Keep an eye on our main discussion thread for status updates on the review though! Thanks, Matt
Thank you for replying; I’ve been waiting for an accurate review since its release. I have seen some measurements, but they are inacurate and not comparable to your consistent data.
