Rtings is paid off or lying
After scouring the net in regards to this TV, I’ve found that the problems that I’m having with this television are not only common, but plentiful. It appears Rtings just plugs in a television and runs tools without actually using the television for any period of time. Essentially, they’re just a marketing cover (but a helpful maybe). What are the problems with this Vizio?
The input selector locks up once to twice a day (the menu just freezes). The fix is just to keep smashing the power button until the TV turns off, then turn it back on.
The local dimming has serious ghosting problems that occur about once every hour (sometimes 1.5 hours). Of course it’s extremely noticeable on transition scenes with light backgrounds, but also on neutral colors. Since everyone watches different content delivered differently, your time could be as little as every 10 minutes (or so a few users have stated, however I’ve never have had it occur that frequently). Regardless how long it will take, it will happen often and is very distracting.
This one is nuts, the TV will at random just change to “Smartcast”. You’ll be playing a game, watching a movie, using a computer…poof, it just switches to Smartcast. It’s never input 1,2,4, WatchFree…ALWAYS SMARTCAST. It happens at least once a day to me, sometimes twice. The slap in the face came when I tested if this bug would occur while on Smartcast… it does! Smartcast selects Smartcast…this TV is so smart.
Look, you can find helpful info on Rtings, I understand that. But go look at all the bugs this TV has else where. Just give a few seconds of searching if you have doubts about my words. However, do not be fooled into thinking Ratings is actually testing TV’s other than what a paid marketer would. Essentially, what they are doing is the equivalent of white balancing a cold monitor, or perhaps, judging a book by it’s cover.
