Issues with Audio Optical Out / HDMI Arc to Amplifier?

When connected to the Audio Optical Out / HDMI Arc to my integrated amplifier, the TV goes bonkers emitting static beeping sounds. Anyone experiencing this? Any solution? Or is it a manufacturer’s defect?
