A8F - Sports 'shuddering' issues

I recently (last week) purchased the (2018) 65" A8F with the HTST 5000 soundbar, having it installed and set up via Best Buy and Geek Squad. When I watch hockey or basketball it seems the image is shuddering or choppy. It is only during sports that I notice this - I can watch youtube 4k 60fps content and it looks great.

On my other Sony 55" XBR X900 I see no issues with either hockey or basketball (watch same games in different rooms via cable provider boxes).

What’s up with my new tv? Are there some settings I need to adjust on the A8F? What is the cause of this choppiness?
