Is this a normal thing? To be so noticeable and distracting? I wouldn’t think that’s since it’s meant to reduced distracting tearing that very bright overshooting was how it’s meant to look. Just didn’t wanna go thru the work of sending this heavy but delicate tv back if I’m just gonna have the same result with the next set too. I’ve tried just about every setting combo to see what helped or made it worse and obviously the darker the screen the less noticeable it is but that kinda defeats the purpose of 4k hdr. Also why would Freesync basic be greyed out? I’m thinking ultimate is just too aggressive but I can’t try out basic to know for sure.

On the latest firmware (1121), the vertical banding which can be seen on a 50% grey background and is most obvious on the image retention picture here is still visible in person. This is hardly visible while watching real content, and the extreme banding cases reported on other forums were never seen on our unit.
