Given that the only current dedicated workshop robot is the $1500+ Makita, I am interested in finding an affordable substitute. I would find it very useful if you would had a large-debris rating for robot vacuum reviews. At it’s price point and size, the Makita is clearly intended for industrial workshops. I Robot used to make the Spot which would be ideal, but alas…. no longer available.
While i can see likely performers among your ratings, I worry that they will fail or clog immediately when faced with larger debris like wood-chips or small screws.
If you feel woodchips, nuts, and bolts is too “niche” but you would consider large debris, i hope you will steer away from something like the common cheerio test… where the rounded o’s seem especially unlikely to get stuck. Maybe consider something irregular like Golden Grahams or the uber mixes like Cascadia Farms cereals??
Thanks for your consideration and thanks for being awesome. While I retain a CR subscription I usually defer to Rtings when possible. You seem to do a VERY good job.
